Physiotherapy and rehabilitation
The part after the diagnosis, where movement is actually rebuilt.
- A first visit is a consultation, not a procedure.
- None for a routine consultation.
- You go home the same day unless a fresh injury needs otherwise.
- Follow the exercise plan you are given.

What is it?
Physiotherapy at this centre is part of orthopaedic care, not a separate afterthought. It covers strength, walking, and the drills that make a surgery worth having.
Symptoms, causes, who it may help
Symptoms
- Stiffness after injury or surgery.
- A limp, a weak thigh, or a shoulder that will not lift.
Causes
- Pain, swelling, fear of movement, or a plan that was never practised.
Who it may help
- Patients of the clinic before or after a procedure, and people sent for sports rehabilitation.
How it is assessed
- exam
- Movement, strength and the task you need to get back.
- xray
- Already done if it was needed. Physiotherapy does not start with another X-ray by default.
- mri
- Not a physiotherapy tool. The doctor orders it if the diagnosis is still open.
- clinic
- Physiotherapy is part of the clinic’s care and is planned together with your treatment.
Treatment options
| Option | Without surgery | With surgery |
|---|---|---|
| The main treatment. | Not an operation. | |
| A written home plan, not only machines. | ||
| The protocol that belongs to your operation. | Starts after the procedure, often the same day for replacement. | |
The procedure, step by step
- 01
Measure
What you can bend, lift and walk today.
- 02
Practise
A few exercises done well, not twenty forgotten ones.
- 03
Progress
Load increases when the last step is easy and the joint is calm.
- 04
Test
Before sport, strength and control are checked.
Recovery roadmap
You can: Learn two exercises you can repeat at home.
Avoid: A session so hard you cannot walk the next day.
Do, do not, and when to call
Do
- Bring shorts or a sleeve that lets the joint be seen.
- Write down the home exercises.
Do not
- Do not add gym heroics in week one after a reconstruction.
Call the clinic
- New swelling, a hot joint, or pain that is unlike the usual training ache. Call.
Risks and honest expectations
- The risk of rehabilitation is doing too much, too soon, or so little that stiffness wins.
Progress is uneven. A written plan beats motivation.
